Introducing Stewart

Our spotlight blog series focusing on the management team here is coming to an end and what better way than to finish off with the captain of our ship, our Commanding Officer – say hello to Stewart! In his role as Commercial Director, Stewart casts his eye over all the day to day operations of TBOS, with a sharp focus on bringing in new clients. Whilst Stewart has no formal accounting or business qualifications, he has a wealth of knowledge that spans each and every aspect of the recruitment/ finance industry that has been carefully obtained by on the job experience and self-motivation. Stewart graduated from Middlesex University with a BA(Hons) in Product Design, meaning he can look at every possibility/ outcome when it comes to problem solving and has an excellent ability to find swift solutions.

Stewart’s overwhelming knowledge of the recruitment industry and associated finance functions has enabled him to grow our client base (with the help of his fabulous team of course!) and continue to evolve the services that we are offering to our clients. Working for a large medical recruitment agency prior to his appointment at TBOS allowed Stewart to build up a key knowledge base of the inner workings of a recruitment agency, both in the front end sales side of things and in the back office/ finance teams. Stewart likes a ‘hands on’ approach, both with the staff here at TBOS and with our clients too – he’s often out and about across the country to meet our clients face to face and make sure that they’re happy with the service that TBOS is providing. He is also a dab-hand when it comes to Excel, and is our ‘go to guy’ when it comes to complicated formulas.

When he’s not building spreadsheets or schmoozing clients, Stewart likes to spend time with his son and train for that bucket list triathlon. Soon to be bilingual (hmm…) Stewart is currently learning Polish. He has also recently bought a new house and has become a master of DIY and gardening having undertaken the renovation project almost entirely alone!
